PART 1/4: Tragedies
Your POV~

It was the last week of school. Throughout the past 10 weeks, everyone had been gossiping about some girls who had gone to school one day and then didn't go home at all. You, Taro Yamada, Kuu Dere, Mai Waifu, Midori Gurin (sadly), Riku Soma, Yui Rio, Mei Mio, Pippi Osu, Budo Matsuda, Inkyu Basu, Haruto Yuto, Ryusei Koki, Koharu Hinata, Sho Kunin, Shima Shita, Shin Higaku, Supana Churu, and another strange girl were left at the school. You knew almost everyone in the school, mostly since you were a 3rd-year student. You had seen some of the girls, too. Saki Miyu had killed Kokona right in front of everyone, and then Saki herself killed herself. You had also seen Asu Rito choke on her food and collapse. The last death you saw was when Hanako, Taro's sister. You were running on the track when you saw her lifeless body next to the incinerator.

Even though most people were gone, you were content with yourself. You were with Shin Higaku, the leader of the Occult Club when Oka Ruto was gone. He had confessed to you, a week after you joined the Occult club.

~Flashback~

"Huh? A letter for me?" You said, surprised.

You read the letter.

'Dear (Firstname Lastname),

I don't really now how to put this into words, so please forgive me. Um, you are the bright light in my dark world. I'm sorry if that sounded cheesy, but it's the truth. I uh, hope you understood what that meant. You're actually one of the only people who aren't afraid of me. Anyways, I just wanted you to meet me under the cherry tree behind the school.

'How sweet." You thought.

The letter had touched your heart, so you went to the tree since it was after school.  After running for what is seemed like forever, you could see the tree from not too far away. You ran with all your speed possible, and you finally made it to the tree. You saw Shin, and your heart pounded.

"H-hi, (Your Name)," said Shin, nervous. "I-I wanted to tell you that you are s-so nice, and your (Hair length), (Hair Colour) hair is so nice. And! Your (Eye Colour) eyes are mesmerising. I'm trying to tell you th-that I l-like you, wait no! I mean I l-l-love you."

Your face grew red, and your heart felt as if it leapt out of your chest.

"I love you too," you replied, making Shin's face light up.

"R-really?" Said Shin.

"I'm sure," you replied.

Shin wrapped his arms around your hips, and you wrapped yours around his shoulders. You both leant in for a kiss and touched lips.

"You took my first kiss," Shin said.

"It was my first too," you replied.

"I wonder what else you'll take from me," Shin said, his face growing redder. "You're also my first girlfriend."

"You're mine as well," you replied. "And only time will tell what I'll take from you next."

~Flashback End~

You were walking to class, remembering that memory, when you felt hungry. You were on the second floor, so you went to the vending machine. You put in ¥150 and clicked on a (favourite soft drink) button. You heard it fall to the bottom, and you grabbed it. You drank it really fast, almost choking.You finally made it to class, sitting in front of Budo. You were sad that Shin wasn't in your class. You loved to spend time with him. You looked in front of yourself, and you saw the usual. Mai Waifu had her hand on her chin, and she was looking the other way.

'Must be daydreaming again.' You thought. 'I wonder what she's thinking about anyways.'

Kuu Dere was sitting and probably paying attention.

'Kuu Dere is a mystery." You thought. 'Nobody ever knew about her."

You then looked at Inkyu and Pippi in the front of the classroom. Pippi was crying. You knew why. You overheard girls talking about it yesterday. Ryuto was found dead yesterday in the gaming club.

'I would hate if I saw Shin die before my eyes." You thought. 'Poor Pippi. She'll never love again."

Inkyu was sleeping, and she was somehow getting away with it. You wondered why the teacher could let her sleep, but if someone like yourself were sleeping, you'd get scolded, but Inkyu wouldn't. You looked behind yourself, and it was more or less the same. Budo looked bored. He was twiddling his thumbs, and next to him was Riku, who looked like he was the only guy paying attention. Riku had a pen in hand, and he was writing things down.

Lastly, there was Taro. Taro was kind of strange. He looked and acted so simple, but he was a girl magnet. Taro lived in your neighbourhood too. Girls came and went to his house. Girls came up to him, and they hinted at him. To you, he was so clueless, that if a girl said they liked him, he would still treat them as a friend. You knew him, but only as a classmate. You would find Taro approaching you instead of other people to ask about class assignments, which to you was strange because tons of other people were around. Taro was reading a red-covered book, and he peeked out at you.

"Hi," you whispered.

Taro looked at you, and he finger-waved and went back into his book. You turned around and wanted to find something for yourself to do. You looked on your desk, and you picked up the pen, and you started to draw on your hand.

'Shin and (Your Name) together forever.' That's what you wrote. You drew a heart around it. You sighed, and the class bell was rung. You walked out of class, and you saw Shin walk out the class across from you.

"Shin!" You yelled.

Shin turned around and smiled. He opened up his arms as you were running towards him. You hugged him tightly, and you hugged him back. He pet your head, and your face reddened.

"Let's go eat lunch!" You said happily.

"Oh," said Shin, troubled. "Gomen-Nasai, but I have to go to take care of some Occult stuff, with me being the old somewhat leader and all. It's since Oka, well, you know."

"Oh, okay. Well, I guess that's fine," you said.

"Hopefully we can eat lunch tomorrow," said Shin. "I love you."

"I love you too," you replied.

Shin walked off down the stairs. You sighed a sad sigh and walked up the stairs to the roof. You sat on the ground beside the bench. You opened up your lunch box, and you were at least happy with something. It was sake and maguro sashimi with rice. You wish it were curry, but you liked rice just as much. There was something else. There was deep fried tofu in your box. Your father had always scolded you about eating healthier. He had probably put it in there.

You were eating when you heard someone say, "Oh, hello."

You looked up to see Taro. He was just sitting there.

"Hello," you politely replied.

"Gomen-Nasai, but I couldn't help but notice that your lunch looks really good," he said.

"Oh, Arigatou, I made almost all of it by myself," You said. "I won't eat the tofu, though. You can have it if you want."

You held up your lunch to him, and he took all the tofu. He ate it slowly at first, and then he ate it faster.

'Wow! I guess he really liked it!' You thought.

"Arigatou! I really loved it!" Taro said. "Wait, are you okay?"

You didn't realise it until now. You were trembling. You missed Shin, and it made you sad to be without him. You always ate lunch with him but today you weren't.

"Yeah, yeah, I'm okay," you said, not trying to worry Taro.

"Are you sure? I just want to make sure you're okay," he said.

"No, no I assure you, I'm okay," you told him.

"Well, in that case, I'll guess I'll see you soon, (Last Name)-chan!" Said Taro.

Taro walked off, and so did other people. You walked off as well, but you went to the bathroom first. You splashed water on your face to prevent yourself from crying. You then checked your phone for the time. It was 1:20 pm, only 10 minutes left for class. You checked your messages and Shin had texted you 18 times.

'I love you.' 1

'Hey, I miss you.' 2

'Hehe, look at this funny video.' 3

'I'm sorry about before.' 4

'I wonder what you have for lunch.' 5

'I'm hungry. I only brought a sandwich.' 6

'I should dye my hair a really dark purple. What do you think?' 7

'I swear, someone's following me.' 8

'Hey, wanna see a picture of me?' 9

'I'm thinking about you~' 10

'I'm always hearing footsteps behind me when I walk, but when I turn around there's no one there.' 11

'I'm hearing clangs of things on the floor.' 12

'SOMEONE IS CHASING ME WITH A KNIFE! PLEASE HELP!' 13

'IT'S THAT WEIRD GIRL! WITH THE BLACK PONYTAIL! HELP ME!' 14

'If I don't make it, I want to say that I really, really love you.' 15

'I'm now hiding in the Science Club.' 16

'DANG IT! SHE FOUND ME! I'M RUNNING AGAIN!' 17

'Okay, okay, okay. I'm running to class now. I'm currently on the second floor, hiding in the Martial Arts Club.' 18

The last text was sent a minute ago. You rushed to the Martial Arts Club, but Shin wasn't there. You pulled out your phone and texted him.

'Where are you?! I'm coming for you!'

No response. No response. A response.

'I'm in the Science Club again! Hurry!'

You raced to the Science Club, but you tripped over...a book? That was odd. Books are never on the floor unless someone else is there to pick them up. You then heard distant laughter followed by a distant scream. You were sure that the scream came from Shin. You got up and ran to the scream.

"DON'T WORRY! I'M COMING FOR YOU SWEETIE!" You yelled.

It was the first time you had called Shin a pet name. But, you didn't care. You just wanted to get to Shin as fast as possible. You were finally there. Shin was there on the ground, and ironically, he wasn't looking too hot. You felt on the verge of tears.

"No, no, no! This, this can't be happening!" You said crying. "I love you too much!"

You unbuttoned Shin's blazer, and his shirt to see a long wound on his side. You continued to cry, and hug Shin.

"Hey, (First Name), I'm going to...be okay," he said. "The pain; it will be over soon."

You were in disbelief. You didn't want Shin to die, and he was acting as if it were normal. You looked around in the room. Science Club. It was sure to have bandages. You looked around, and they weren't any. You cried even harder. You looked at Shin, and he just smiled at you.

"Shin..." You said. "I can't do anything. Even if you call for help, they wouldn't arrive in time."

"Hey, Darling, can you...fill me of my last...request?" Shin asked.

Shin called you a pet name. That made you bawl even harder.

"Wh-what is it?" You asked.

Shin placed his hand on yours, and he said,"I want you to track down the person who did this to me, and make this wrong a right."

You nodded and ran to the door.

"Shin, I don't want you to leave me yet. I'm going to the Nurse's Office," You said.

You ran out the door to the Nurse's Office. The nurse looked at you with worry. You missed Nurse Kina, but this nurse was alright. You were panting.

"I...need...bandages," you said in between breaths.

The nurse sighed and handed you a roll of bandages and medical tape.

"Just give it back when you're finished," she said, looking annoyed.

Well geez. The nurse was upset just because you asked for bandages. You ignored the nurse's attitude and ran back up the stairs to the Science Club. Shin looked horrible. He was pale, and it looked as if he were struggling to breathe. He groaned, and he was lying in a pool of blood.

"I have bandages! Just hold still, so I can wrap it around you," you said.

You turned Shin on his left side, and you pulled up his shirt. You took the bandage roll, and you wrapped around Shin. You then taped the end of the bandages with the medical tape.

"You were always good to me. I'm going to miss you," Shin said.

"I bandaged you. But, you're still bleeding. I...I---!" You said before Shin placed a hand on your head.

"Hey, promise me you're going to be okay," he said.

You struggled to keep yourself together. You picked up Shin and walked down the stairs. You heard the bell ring, but you didn't care.

"The nurse will keep you in her office," you said.

Shin was breathing heavily.

"You know, you are heavy," you said jokingly.

Shin laughed, and you soon made it to the Nurse's Office.

"You again," said the nurse. "What do you wa--?"

The nurse was still bitter; she looked at Shin and was worried.

"Oh my goodness, was this who you were getting bandages for?" She asked. "I'm sorry for being rude. What happened?"

"He was stabbed by someone, and now he's bleeding severely," you said.

The nurse told you to lay him down in a bed. You laid him in the bed, and you pet him on his head. You then went to class, and you received a scolding for being late. About 45 minutes later, the nurse came into the classroom.

"I need (First Name) (Last Name). Shin is asking for her," you overheard her say.

"Very well. (Last Name), the nurse needs you," said the teacher in a monotone voice.

You got up and you walked over to the nurse. You followed her to her office.

"He's been asking for you, and he shows no signs of getting better," said the nurse.

You walked over to Shin. He was even paler than before, and his bandages were really red. He was wincing and groaning.

"(First Name), I'm not going to make it, but we can be together in the afterlife," Shin said weakly.

Drops slowly fell down your face, but Shin wiped them off with his finger.

'Please don't cry. I don't want to see you sad in my last moments," said Shin.

"But, you're dying," you protested.

"So? It's natural. I'm just going early," he said.

"There must be something th--!" You said before interrupted.

Shin had taken your face and brought it close to yours, and kissed you. He had then let go.

Then, in a small whisper, "I love you," had come out as his last words. Shin's eyes closed, and you looked at him.

Teary-eyed, you said, "I love you too, you sweet demon."
